training institute to increase professionals' administrative, program development,
and evaluation skills.

competencies needed for professional growth in the intergenerational field.

teaches courses that prepare students for careers in the intergenerational
field.

Collaborates
with faculty to increase interest in and commitment to intergenerational
studies among colleges and universities.

Networks with
faculty and students to research fundamental questions related to the development,
outcomes, and future of intergenerational programs.

Collaborates
in research projects that investigate issues and questions related to intergenerational
studies.

Gathers and disseminates
material -- locally and nationally -- to increase the availability of information
for professionals and academics.

Generates information
on the availability of intergenerational options in higher education.

Maintains a resource
center of intergenerational materials used by practitioners, students,
and academics.

Supports public
policy efforts that promote intergenerational studies.

Supports intergenerational
studies through courses, community outreach activities, and research in
